When we first began this church 3 years ago we envisioned a community filled with passionate individuals who are being actively transformed, equipped and energized by the gospel, so that they could in turn source life-changing conversations and relationships for the glory of God and the good of the city. Below you will find more information about our vision for a new church. If you have questions or would like to hear more, someone at Sideris would love to grab coffee.
Most of us have never heard the word sideris. But for our community this word is full of meaning. The Latin roots that form the word CONSIDER are COM and SIDERIS. In Latin this literally means: WITH HEAVENLY BODY.
We all have unique stories; if we look closely, we will see God at work, guiding us toward an often unpredictable final destination. The story of this new church is no different.
We believe church should be simple, biblical, gospel centered, and focused on Jesus. We also like to say that a good church ethos is a little like a Mumford & Sons concert: If you have only read the lyrics, you will be a bit confused when you walk into their concert.
What if this community felt more like a family than an organization? What if this family served others together? What this family helped each member become the best version of themselves? There are four things we want this community to be known for.
Our postmodern culture is so apathetic toward the questions and answers that matter most. To break this bent, we must celebrate honest thinking, reflection, and questioning. We think that true consideration is the beginning of worship.
Are you thinking, "Do we really need more churches?" Here's why we are convinced that church planting is not a project of the past, but critical to the future of God's mission internationally and domestically.
