We Believe

What if I don't believe or understand all of this yet?

That’s why we are here, to help people hear, understand, and apply these gospel truths. Even if you already affirm these truths, there is still so much more to hear, understand and apply. As such, we do not put forth these beliefs as a test for belonging, but rather as anhonest summation of the truths that inform our decision-making and teaching.

We Believe

As a community we affirm the following truths that are essential to the faithful representation of Jesus and the Apostles’ original message, known as “the gospel.” It is the definition of pride to assume that only we, in this moment, have the true key to correct interpretation of God's revelation. As such, we humbly seek to stand in line with historic biblical Christianity which began with Jesus and his Apostles and has been faithfully passed down through the ages to us. We believe in:

The Trinity: There is One God who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Person of Jesus: He is fully God and fully man in one person.

The Work of Jesus: Through his incarnation, death, and resurrection he accomplishes salvation of his people and inaugurates the Kingdom of God. He will one day return to complete the Kingdom.

Humanity: All people are created in God’s image, possessing true value, but all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. This leads to separation and death.

Salvation: Created for relationship with God, we need to be reconciled to God by being set free from sin. Jesus makes this possible for us through his life, death, resurrection, and future return. We can’t earn this or be “good enough” to obtain it, we simply receive it as a gift of grace through faith in Jesus.

The Bible: God is not silent. Scripture is God’s inspired and inerrant word to us. The whole Bible points us to Jesus, his gospel, and its implications for our lives.
