ABOUT THE FAMILY MEMBERSHIP CLASS

In this class we will explore the Bible’s idea of church as family? What exactly does this mean and what does it look like practically? We will also take some time to articulate some of our church’s doctrinal distinctives so please feel free to read them here and come with some clarifying questions.

“Family Membership Class” is open and designed for anyone considering Sideris their local church during this season of life. We believe considering and committing to a community of faith is a crucial part of living the Christian life and obeying Jesus teachings. So even though being a “family member” in a local church is not required to be saved, or even continuing to enjoy communal life at Sideris, but believe it will help you grow in real and enduring ways and that is why we spend the time to teach this class for those curious and interested in continuing to move forward in their faith life.

If you’ve been coming to Sideris for awhile now, but are still unsure if “Membership” at Sideris is the best next step for you, we invite you to join us as this class as it will help you learn a lot about the role of the local church, our community values and certain core beliefs. And you won’t be asked to make any decisions during the class itself.
