 CHOOSING JESUS

At Sideris we are known for promoting and helping all people “Consider Jesus” and we will always be first and foremost about that invitation. However, there comes a point in each persons life when consideration must turn into conviction and confession about the ultimate things: who is God? What is he like? Is Jesus in fact God incarnate? Does his life, death and resurrection matter for me and my life? This important decision must be made at some point and will inevitably give energy and direction to the reminder of life’s big decisions.

This does not mean that deep consideration ends — it absolutely must continue — but it does mean that our consideration changes. Now we move forward with the helpful buttress of conviction and confession. The alternative of perpetual indecision becomes an impediment to growth and is in fact a decision in itself to trust and live for oneself rather than for God or something else.

Having said that, if after careful consideration you find yourself ready to make a decisive step in the direction of God through Jesus Christ, we would be thrilled to discuss whether the next step of baptism is right for you.
