We love you and your kids! We know that living in an urban setting can often be hard for families with kids. We hope that your experience art Sideris in our the Kid’s ministry can be a blessing that makes city life just a little more manageable for your entire family.
CHECK-IN: We love to model & cultivate family worship moments, so you and your children will check-in upon arrival — just look for the Kid’s Check-In signs and table in lobby — and then sit together in the sanctuary so that you can sing together for the first set of worship songs which happen before announcements. Then someone will dismiss kids to join their teachers. Kids can either walk to the back of sanctuary to meet teachers or you can walk with your child to their classroom and then return for the 4 minute conversation. However, if you prefer to keep your kids of any age with you during worship that is totally welcome!
Every week our Kids Team leads FOUR classrooms:
Nursery: 9 months to 18 months.
Toddlers: 18 months to 3 years.
Preschool: 4 years to 5 years.
Elementary: Kindergarten and up.
For children over the age of 10, we love having them join us in the worship service to learn and grow alongside their parents.
For children under the age of 9 months there is a “Nursing/Cry Area” in the Banquet Hall next to the sanctuary with the livestream of the service running. Also know that we love your baby! Crying babies are not a bother to the preacher when in the sanctuary and add to the joy of worship during singing!
All Kid’s volunteers must complete background checks and are trained and dedicated to providing a safe and fun space for children.
Our goal is to introduce the kids to the person of Jesus and the pages of Scripture, while helping them experience God’s love through the joy of the volunteers and each other as they play and grow together. We engage in creative activities and gospel-based teaching (more info below) each Sunday.

TEACHING & ACTIVITIES
We use The Gospel Project (click to learn more) curriculum: a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture that includes oral teaching, music, and other engaging activities. It helps children understand that the Bible isn’t just a bunch of stories but that it is the most important true story ever told.
NURSERY CHECK-IN PROCESS
For new families, join us at the check-in table in the lobby and complete a questionnaire so we can get to know your children and their unique needs. You will be given a name tag for your child and then you will join the rest of the congregation in the sanitary (or feel free to sing from the lobby area). After the opening music set of songs, we will release all kids. At that time you can take you child to the nursery where you will meet the volunteers. Feel free to stay as long as your child needs you in order to get acclimated.
You can pick your child up at any time during or after the service, just make sure to bring your parent sticker for safe and secure pick-up.
VOLUNTEERS
All of our Kids Team leads and volunteers are caring, energetic, and have passed background checks. We aim to have a 1:3 ratio of volunteers to kids in the younger group and 1:4 in the older classroom.
