City Teams

City Teams take that same love we show for one another and extend it outward, sharing the grace of God in tangible ways with our neighbors and the city around us. These teams embody the call to love both inside and outside the church, creating a normal rhythm of reaching into the city and serving in ways that reflect the heart of Jesus.

Our Hope

We desire for every regular attender at Sideris to join at least one City Team, regardless of how often they are able to attend the serving opportunities scheduled by the City Team. This way all of us are presented with opportunities and prompts to get outside of our natural habits and serving in meaningful ways in our larger contexts.

THE COMMITMENT

Each City Team will meet once every 3 months to brainstorm and pray for their respective areas of focus. Even if this is the only thing you are able to attend it is still worthwhile to join a team. Then as a team you will identify projects and rhythms of service that meet tangible needs in the city. Try to find a sustainable way to help serving in these projects and grow in your availability and ability as time goes. That’s the commitment.
