CENTRAL BALLARD

TUESDAYS @ 6pm

Jerin & Jillian Schneider

Where are you from & how long have you been in Seattle? We have spent our whole lives around the Puget Sound, Jerin grew up in Wallingford and Kirkland, and Jillian is from Port Orchard on the Kitsap Peninsula. We met in 2011 and got married in 2014, and have lived in Ballard ever since.

How did Sideris become home for you? We were hoping to find a close-knit church community within the city, and also wanted to invest more in our local neighborhood. Sideris had just recently moved from Wallingford to the Ballard area when we began looking, and we loved the welcoming atmosphere and the depth that the church chooses to study and work through the Bible.

Why is considering in community important? We believe we were created to be in relationships, and that living life alongside others is important. We love getting to know people and discussing, serving, and learning together.

What is your favorite restaurant or coffee shop in your neighborhood? For a quick bite, we love Un Bien or Mr. Gyros. For an evening out, La Carta De Oaxaca, Café Munir, or Staple and Fancy are our favorites.

Where are you from & how long have you been in Seattle? I grew up in Milwaukee, WI, but I moved to Seattle from Chicago, IL about 7 years ago in 2018. Time flies!

How did Sideris become home for you? A friend found Sideris online and asked me if I would try it out with them. The first service was a bit alternative :), but something about the realness drew me back. It was unlike me, but after a few weeks, I signed up to go to the Women's retreat and that weekend was life-changing for me! I met so many amazing women living out their faith in Seattle and knew that this was home for me.

Why is considering in community important? Looking back on my life, God has used community as one of the primary ways to reveal His character and plan for my life. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience His blessing in your life or to be a part of blessing someone else's.

What is your favorite restaurant or coffee shop in your neighborhood? I live in Lower Queen Anne so I have to recommend the ham & cheese croissant from Fuji Bakery or the chiriachi bowl at Shiki. Call me if you go!
