Here at Sideris, we think of membership as ‘family’ - We are part of God’s family! In our day and age, it’s strange to consider a group of people as a family but it’s exactly the vision for communal life we see grip Jesus’ followers in the New Testament. In this class, we unpack what it means to be a family member at a church in this day-and-age in a city like Seattle. This includes how we love and hold responsibilitiy for and towards one another, and envision our mission towards the city. We design this 1 time, “no strings attached” class with plenty of room to ask questions and our pastors use this class as a starting point to get together with all who have gone through it to unpack their thoughts, questions, and desires to join the family. We do this to help people conceive of what we hope our church is like so we hope that all who are beginning to call Sideris “home” (a family term!) will check it out!
